Barb's Funny Barbs... A message from the President
We will be having our elections at the May meeting. Anyone wanting to become involved in the club executive please put forth a nomination or speak with one of our current executive. We are also putting together our home show videos for the June meeting. If you would like to submit a 2-5 minutes video of your tank, please ensure it is submitted to myself, by May 31. Members only please. Just a reminder to the Fish Grow Contestants - we will be judging our fish grow entries at the June meeting.
We had a great meeting in April with Ed's presentation on setting up a dry start planted aquarium.
It was very interesting. Thanks again Ed for the presentaiton and the donation of plants. and thanks to Jerry at Tropical Fish Room for the donated tank. Durham Regional Aquarium Society hosted their auction on April 15th, 2012. There was a ton of items in the auction and lots of good deals. Sarnia Aquarium Society hosted their Spring Auction on April 21st. Jackson continues to be an absolute doll. He was such a good baby at the wedding and charmed everyone with his adorable smile. he looked so cute in his little suit and bow tie. Of course we are a little bias. He seems to love everything and everyone. Everyday is a new adventure.Nothing really new to report with our fishtanks. Some baby swordtails and platies. Again, I've added a few fish from the auctions. lots of small fish just growing.
We have a great meeting planned for May 9, 2012- Jerry will be presenting on breeding fishes.

Home Show
Brant Aquarium Society will be having a Home Show which is a 2-5 minute video of each of your fish tanks that you wish to enter. This is open to any Member of the Club and the cut off date is May 31/12. You're welcome to record your own fish tank or have an executive member come and videotape it. The winner will be announced at the June Meeting and a People's Choice aware will be presented as well.

To enter sign up sheets will be available at the meeting or through the forum/web. Prizes to be won: gift certificate to tropical fish room for 1st place salt water, 1st place freshwater and people choice. Judging to be completed in April to be awarded in June.
