On Sunday March 28th the Brant Aquarium Society will hold its Spring Auction and Show at the Paris Fairground, special events building. This event is our major fundraiser to support the operation of the society.
The Show will be setup in the front area of the Building. There are 29 classes in this show (see Below). Show registration starts at 8am. You must register with the Show chair before you setup. You must pay your entry fees before the show starts. Show Registration ends at 10:00am. 1, 2 & 3 place in each class receives cash awards of $15, $10 & $5 respectively.

Show rules
1. This is an open show. Non-members are welcome to participate.
2. Registration fee will be $2.00 per entry for all entries after March 24th.
Any entries received on or before March 24th will be subject to an entry fee of only $1.00 per entry. Entries can be submitted by mail, e-mail, or phone to:

3. No entry may be entered in more than one class. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that their fish are entered in the correct class. The Show Chair will assist if requested.
4. The Brant Aquarium Society will supply electricity to each entry area and vibrator pumps will be available to borrow during the show.
5. Entrants will supply their own tanks, airlines, airstone, 3 way valves, and vibrator pumps if required (we will have loaners available).
6. Tanks must be covered with a rigid material (glass, plexi-glass, or egg crate) and must be removable for judging purposes.
7. While all possible provisions will be made to ensure the well being of the entries, the BAS accepts no responsibility for loss or damage during the show.
8. Judging comes under the jurisdiction of CAOAC. Judging will be by certified CAOAC judges or other qualified persons, whose decisions are final and binding. Appeals will not be accepted the day of the show.
9. Junior classes are for entrants less than 16 years old on the day of the show. Junior entries in adult classes must note on their entry form that they are a junior.
10. Inform the Show Chair at least one week prior to the event if a tank over ten gallon is to be used.
11. Entries displaying any disease or deformity will be disqualified.
12. No ornament, or other items may be present in the tank, except for airline and air stone. Tank dividers may also be used but only in Family classes.
13. Family Class - Entry will consist of one spawning pair and at least six (6) young from that pair not more than three (3) months of age, and bred by the entrant. They will be judged on condition and size of parents and young. Difficulty of spawning and raising will also be taken into consideration. Tank dividers may be used.
14. All entries are under the jurisdiction of the Show Chair until tear-down and must remain in the show room until after the awards have been presented, unless authorized by the Show Chair.
15. Any Judge or their immediate family may not enter in the show. Any apprentice judge, or their immediate family may not enter in any of the classes being judged by the apprentice.
 
- All decisions of the judges are final. The judges are the only people who choose the winning items.
- BAS reserves the right to amend these rules as needed at any time.
